"Join the Scholars Strategy Network for a member briefing and discussion of how scholars can bring their expertise and research to enhance public understanding and inform immigration policy in the current moment. We will be joined by Aaron Reichlin-Melnick (Senior Fellow, American Immigration Council), who will provide an overview of the Trump Administration's immigration policies, status of current court cases, and implications of significantly increased ICE funding, and by SSN members Elizabeth Aranda (University of South Florida) and Ernesto CastaƱeda (American University), who will talk about the different ways that scholars can engage effectively on unfolding immigration issues, particularly at the state and local level. We invite immigration scholars to join the conversation and share examples from their own work."
