Accelerating Migration Research in International Contexts with Harmonized Census Data

Organized by IPUMS, Gerontological Society of America, and International Migration Research Network

October 5, 2026 | 12:00pm ET

"This webinar will provide an introduction to IPUMS, focusing on the breadth of available data with special focus on topics related to immigration and migration within the context of aging research. Census microdata are a rich source of information on migration within and between countries, allowing for the study of change over time, boasting sample sizes that facilitate disaggregation, and situating individuals within their household and family contexts. The webinar will include demonstrations of our online data access system and online tabulator as well as a discussion with IMISCOE representatives."

Register on the GSA website. (Note that the event is shown on GSA as "International Aging and Migration Interest Group Meeting")
