    The AERA-NSF Grants Program is currently accepting proposals for both its Dissertation and Research Grants. With support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Program provides dissertation grants to graduate students and small research grants to doctoral level scholars using large-scale data sets in their research. The aim of the program is to advance fundamental knowledge of relevance to STEM education policy, foster significant science using education data, promote equity in STEM, and build research capacity in education and learning.

    The Department of Health, Society, and Behavior at the University of California-Irvine Program in Public Health is seeking candidates interested in writing and policy structure for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. This candidate will report to Dr. Bernadette Boden-Albala, and work within an interdisciplinary research group that focuses on cardio- and cerebrovascular health outcomes within multiethnic communities and utilizes community-engaged research principles. The postdoctoral scholar position is a full-time, 2-year position with the possibility of an extension conditional on satisfactory performance.

    The NSF Build and Broaden Program in the Directorate of Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences will host its second annual program symposium on November 2 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm EST.

    Build and Broaden aims to broaden participation in the social, behavioral and economic sciences through support for research, training and research infrastructure at minority-serving institutions, including partnerships with and among those institutions.

    To advance the goals of the NIH Implementing a Maternal health and PRegnancy Outcomes Vision for Everyone (IMPROVE) Initiative, this NIH Research Career Enhancement Award (K18) invites experienced investigators in maternal morbidity and mortality research seeking to expand their research programs through the acquisition of new skills and knowledge in the area of intimate partner (and related) violence (IPV) to work with their institutions to submit an application for support. The program will support research training and career development experiences and a small-scale research project that will provide experienced investigators with the scientific competencies required to integrate IPV and related violence constructs, theories, and/or interventions into their ongoing research efforts. Eligible candidates are independent investigators at any faculty rank or level.

    The Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies (HCPDS) is currently accepting applications for the next cohort of the David E. Bell Postdoctoral Fellowship. The two-year Bell Fellowship is an interdisciplinary, postdoctoral training program designed for researchers and practitioners in the fields of population sciences and/or population health.

    ICF seeks to hire a Senior Demographic and Health Researcher to facilitate the analysis of Demographic and Health Surveys (DHS) Program data by analysts in survey countries (e.g. university faculty, ministry of health, or government statistical agency officials). The researcher will produce R and/or Stata programs and develop a variety of tutorials, tools, and resources to support analytical needs. The researcher will likely lead one or more analysis training workshops each year.

    The Population Studies Center at the University of Michigan-Institute for Social Research expects to have two openings for Postdoctoral Fellowships beginning on or about September 1, 2024. One of the available fellowships will be sponsored by the National Institute on Aging (NIA) and the other will be sponsored by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD).

    The Department of Sociology at Johns Hopkins University announces it is poised for significant growth in the coming years. They invite applications for tenured and tenure-track appointments at any rank and in any subfield. In the initial phase, beginning in 2024, they are especially interested in candidates who work in the areas of the sociology of race and ethnicity and the sociology of gender. They anticipate making at least these two appointments in 2024, with additional appointments likely in 2024 or soon thereafter.
